Coming Soon: Thomas Theatres Marquette
Thomas Theatres - Marquette, Michigan
We want to build a movie theatre complex in Marquette, Michigan with 10 screens with the potential to expand to 14 screens.
We are planning to build a state-of-the-art facility. The base line construction plan is a 30,000 sq. ft. facility with 10 screens including state-of-the-art digital projection and sound systems to seat approximately 1,200 people. The exterior shell will be CMU walls erected on a poured in place concrete foundation. We will have an asphalt parking lot which will hold approximately 300 cars at any given time. All of this will be coordinated to a design philosophy based on the history of the Upper Peninsula and Marquette, Michigan.
All ten theatres will feature stadium seating with high back chairs, digital projection with digital 3D, silver screens and state-of-the art digital surround sound systems. We will designate one theatre with all VIP seating and the largest theatre will feature a prime location of VIP seats. We will feature the only Large Format Screen in the Upper Peninsula and north of Green Bay, Wl. A Large Format Screen is 30' tall by 55' wide.
The lobby will be focused on the concession stand and will include and feature electronic ticketing machines, digital movie poster cases, digital signage throughout, lounge seating areas and a party/conference room. The concession stand will be complimented with digital menu boards capable of motion advertisements, new popcorn poppers, and self serve soda fountain machines. The new concession stand design will allow between 6 and 8 employees to work behind the counter at any given time and will be for purchase of tickets and vending all in one stop. The layout and design of this concession stand will be the highlight of the interior and will help mainstream customers and avoid lines. A new design concept will incorporate a drive-thru window for vending sales.
